Hi Frank, I'm going down a similar road, in my case, 2 4 boats, 250e, 250e, 261e, 259e, 281e, 291e, & 292e, hopefully a 266e at a later point. My intent is not to attempt to integrate this small instrument with my other modulars, instead I want to establish it's own voice, but subject it to the typical digital stuff. Musically, processing seems to provide such a broad set of possibilities, by limiting my primary source, I hope to maintain some amount of homogeny in my work. I chose the Buchla over other options because it was available, I've wanted one for about 20+ years, and was finally able to scratch enough out for a small system(severence pay-off, I was due...) Most importantly, the sensibility seems to resonate for me for some reason. Probably due to the wonderful folks who've used their Buchlas. I ordered mine not too long back, very anxously waiting! I suspect the delivery times are similar to other small, custom builders. Good luck, you'll be happy, I'm sure.
