Hi folks
i am looking to start a basic system using 200e modules and was
looking for some advice regards modules.I have intial funds to buy a
central 6 panel boat ( central unit from the 18 unit system i beleive)
but have to now decide which modules to start with and which will also
allow me to start tweaking. The system is being bought for 1 reason ,
special fx , ambient noodles and all sorts of random and ems synthi
style fx .With this in mind i have zoned in on the modules
250e
261e
266e
291e
210e ( will this offer me more potential for unusual cross mod
patching?)
227e (is this essential for starters for gett8ing audio out to a
mixer ?)
but as i have limited space i wondered if anyone can advise on what
would make a handy 6 panel system .I am especially after randomised
sequences etc,and aquatic sfx.
A quick further question , is the 260e worth buying aswell as the 261e ?
i kind of wondered if it is better to have both types initially or
quite how they differ?
My understanding of modular synths is with using a few basic doepfer
modules so i'm slightly our of my depth full with some of the modules
like the quad control function processor etc and how usefull they would
be in a small system like this.My logic says get the arbituary
sequencer / the source of uncertainty / 3 osc and are should be well
away way in terms of cross mod fx / randomised sfx etc.
any advice would be cool and much appreciated
