Re: [200e] re:starting a system advice

2007-04-08 by don hassler

Hi Matt,
I began in a similar direction; wanting to accomplish
in small as pssible system, I think initially I was
tinking of a 250e/261e291e/292e/281e in a 6 boat.
Upon discovery of the planned discontinuation of the
259e I panicked, and escalated the system to include
that module as well, in a joined pair of 4 boats,
leaving open space for a final module to be decided
later on. My initial system was somethimg 6.5k, went
to 8.6, but I'm extremely happy, well worth the
difference.
This configuration has effectively satisified my
personal endeavors completely. I still have a handful
of nonsense going on at:
twango.com/channel/donh.public
mostly to assist others if they are in a similar
space.
Btw, the titling scheme draws from the mental health
industry's diagnostic and statistic manual, safer to
diagnose my pieces rather than friends and such. It's
handy and it works for cataloging.
The final module is likely a toss up between a 210e,
225e, or the SOU.
Being a longtime Synthi user, I'm intrigued by the
210, though the 225 makes good pragmatic sense.
I can't imagine anyone here not wanting a 261e.
As far as Waveform generators, I really love both, but
if I were forced to choose just one the 259e is more
preferrable to me.
If you enjoy a unigue ambiguity between analog and
digital, it's well worth begging for.
The 291, when outpouts are fed back as inputs makes
quite an intense amount of racket too!
Good luck!
