RE: [68300] P&E BDM wiggler

2003-05-28 by Melear Charles-rdph40

Hello everyone,

The old PE software "bit banged" the signals on the parallel port. Thus, the effective "bit times" become a function of the system clock of the PC. If you are running a fast PC with the old PE software, the signals on the parallel port will be too fast. There is some DOS command to add the equivalent of wait states to the parallel port. I imagine that this is your problem.

Bye the bye, I have known the folks at PE for a bunch of years and they are very responsive folks. They always help me.

Regards,

Charlie

Hi,

Have you tried asking P&E Micorsystems directly? They have a web site at:

    http://www.pemicro.com/ <http://www.pemicro.com/>

   or P&E Microsystems Phone: 617-353-9206

and I have always found them to be very responsive.
(I have no business interest in the company but regard them highly).
