HTML postings

Dear group members,

could you please stop sending html-mails via the 683xxx list?
Yahoo doesn't change text mails to html (if configured so in your settings)
but also doesn't change html mails to text. But they add small adds to our
mails. Unfortunately this adds are a lot more bandwith hungry and annoying
when attached to a html mail. So please try to avoid html messages via the
list.

Thank you,
Stefan

You have to change your personal settings at Yahoo in order
not to get HTML messages...

You get the ads regardless of what you do.

Not exactly: As I wrote - if you set your personal settings not get HTML
sent, Yahoo only doesn't translate text messages to HTML before they sens it
to you. Messages that already are HTML won't get translated to text format
anyways. But the big html ads will be added to html mails and sent to
everybody no matter what their individual settings are while text messages
to people who have their settings to "text only" will only see the few text
line ads added. And I prefer it this less annoying way.

Unfortunately - yes.
