Drop "C" (dropsy)? Crap, that's 4 semi-tones below what guitars are designed for. Um, I suppose you get a lot of bass frequencies, but as a guitarist I don't know how they stay in tune above the 12th fret without specialized super-tuning. Further, there are 8 semi tones below that C that a bass guitar can reach but those dropsy guitarists can't. As a gimmick, I'm not convinced. Anyway, yes, I use the AN1x live. All I can say about where you "fit in the mix" is that it takes a bit of intuition as well as a bit of skill. Each instrument should occupy its individual sound spectrum so there is minimal overlap or stepping on the others tones. If you are compressing every channel then you will never be able to get a balanced sound. Compression is a crutch -- a band-aid, an artificial squirt, MSG, chemical enhancement of organic tones... be very, very careful if you use it. Meanwhile, remember that a keyboard often is pushed into an accompaniment situation by vol-egotistical guitarists. Be firm, be omnipotent -- you play the KEYBOARDS! No guitarist, bassist, singer, drummer or sewerist can overwhelm you if you know how much power you have in your arsenal. Bwahhahahahahahha! It belches - it screams - it slams - it pleads - it cries - it sings - it grunts - it leads. You have the POWER. YOU have the range. Teach them to take their wooden phallus' and back down while a man gives some art to the audience without cocking his trigger. Wooden necks, indeed... how I tire of hero guitars pointing at me expecting some implied reverence. Bah!
