distortion problems

2003-02-25 by jez creek

Hi,
Recently I have noticed that some of my patches are starting to distort - at
first I thought it might be my monitors, but the problem only seems to occur
with the AN1x - I seem to remember reading a prior post about a similar
problem, but can't find it. I have tried reducing the scene VCA volume
levels and this seems to help, but leaves affected patches very quiet. I've
noticed that the Tempo Delay doesn't help, nor do higher VCA feedback or VCF
resonance levels, and as it doesn't seem to be as bad through headphones I'm
wondering whether this is just down to the AN outputting frequencies my
monitors/ room don't like.
Does anyone know if there is a cure?

RE: [AN1x] distortion problems

Further to my earlier post, thanks for the replies, will try the factory
reset. I presume this is the one detailed on p100 of the manual. Will let
you know if it helps. Further to Jerry's comments, the distortion does seem
to be related to the main volume setting and is reduced if this is set at
around 70-75%.
Thanks again
