The question is whether the 1280 is supported by the original AVR
JTAGICE. The ICE-Cube runs the original JTAGICE firmware and is
identified in AVR Studio as a JTAGICE (without a mk).

Looking at AVR Studio 4.17 the Dragon is said to support the 1280.
