I agree, I normally drop the cutout, hole etc close to where I want it and
then use the properties window to move it where I want it.

 

You also have to remember that the object centre is the X and Y coordinates
which makes it a little bit of work to convert from CAD drawings where the
edge is normally the reference point. Keep your calculator handy!!  :o)

 

Once you get over this, you can make some pretty neat panels.

I've used them too. The results are great but their software could do with
some improvement. It is in fact pretty frustrating until you learn the key
is to always work with the "object properties" window. Steve
