I think many of the readers, and many of the authors such articles as proposed forget that the most value from the story is had from how the plot develops and grows. Figure out where one needs to be. Evaluate the means to that end. Deal with failures and successes, and know the difference between the two. An article on how to build a specific item is a lost opportunity.
