Ok, that argument works both ways, though. I usually listen to the local
american forces radio station located in Frankfurt when driving to/from
work. And i really enjoy their traffic reports like "There's a STAU
(traffic jam) on the AUTOBAHN (highway)...!". But, i never felt the need
to laugh about a silly use of a foreign language, i just always tried to
think how silly i might express myself when using english. So, i try to
keep improving my english by listening to native speakers, and try to
get a more intimate feeling for that language.
