No, you didn't.  I've just re-read your original email, and you said:

Nowhere did you specifically mention *only* wanting a DIY solution, 
so when you posed the above question, the response I (and others) 
gave was that the AVRISP mkII would do what you were asking.  It's a 
proven performer which definitely programs the ATtiny45.  Maybe you 
should've asked for what you *actually* wanted, and not assume we all 
knew.
