Hello John,

I suggest you post your actual code in case someone can spot the problem
- I have lost count of the times that my actual code is not the same as
the code I thought I had written!

The internal oscillator was enabled!
Apparently if the reset went wrong in just the right way, it would use
the external oscillator I have connected.
That is why 7372800Hz / 256 / 64 = 70Hz !
