Hi All My first post here.......... I don't see much activity on this list, maybe one post a week. Is there a more active AVR list, or is this just a very quiet patch? Regards Roland [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

If you look at the home page you'll find the average is much higher than that. It does tend to dip in the summer. > Is there a more active AVR list ... The avr-chat list at nongnu is pretty active. I think a lot of people here are members over there as well. I also would not recommend AVRfreaks. There is a status system associated with how many posts you've made. So, for every useful post in a thread there seem to be ten by people just seeking to up their post total. Graham.

Most of us are also on AvrFreaks, but that tends to be kinda noisy in my opinion, and full of students looking to have their homework done for them.

It's been kind of quiet lately. Probably people are involved in summer activities. It will get busy again. I don't believe a policy has been stated. Presumably you mean selling product, not just bits and pieces you no longer want. What has happened in the past is that people with product to sell make an entry on the "Links" page (you'll see several there), perhaps post an announcement but then generally refrain from actually "selling" in an intrusive manner. If a poster just obviously needs a certain product, the seller will mention it but in a non-pushy way. Graham.

Hi Ok, all good to know. I was looking through some of the messages, and I see 'sell' here and there. Is there any policy on people selling Atmel boards on the site? , or trading skills? We've mentioned this in the past when the topic came up.

But if you're a polite newbie, or a veteran stumped on a problem, it can't be beat. I wish there were an ARMfreaks.net; the Yahoo groups have terrible human factors. www.avrfreaks.net/index.php -- In AVR-Chat@yahoogroups.com, David VanHorn <microbrix@...> wrote:
