Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

I bought an VF-1 last week, and upgraded it from 1.0 to 1.13, just by 
joining this group. Just as easy as the instructions.
However, I know of no more upgrades of this unit as of 2004. The 
latest being 1.13. 

2.0 I've never even heard of. Boss has come out with several fx units 
since then, and either it is in floor board models, or fullsize rack. 
Half space racks seems a thing of the past. Although my VF-1 sits 
nicely in my rack along with the SE-70. Now, Boss seems to have 
splitted thing up, like the GT-6B pedal for bass only, and the GT-6 
peadl board for guitars. VF-1 is one box for both bass, keys, and 
guitar and even voice. No floor pedal I've heard of can take care of 
all these things.

I think VF-1, SE-70 et al, where the last "swiss-army-knife" in FX as 
far as versality goes.
