Hi. if anyone can help.......most appreciated. My always good VF-1 now turns on but screen is backlit but TOTALLY blank! Still sounds OK but have to navigate completely blind! So am staying on one preset.....help?

It happens the same to me and i reset the unit (dont remember how- pressing Category while turning on, or something like that).
After that it worked fine.

I would suggest calling Roland in your country, they have a fairly good service/tech help line I called them last month for something to do with one of my VF-1s, and they were fairly helpful! Craig Duke McRae _____

hi same for me! i tried to update the vf1 had a checksum error turned the unit back on but the screen is empty!cant access any menu can someone help? i called the hot line,they couldnt do anything,told me to bring to the repair shop,i called the guy who told me to reload the programm which i did but doesnt work --- In BossVF1@yahoogroups.com, "JonC" <jon66mary@...> wrote:

Hi. I had no joy with trying to get answers. Roland service here in my part of Australia is pretty remote, though they did suggest I adjust the contrast "blind" via the manual. This was a good idea, but alas...no fix! A tech has my unit as we speak and is confident in an easy fix....should have it back this week...will let you know!
