Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

hi all

just thought i'd drop a line to say nice patches lads!!

i havent yet tried them all but a cupla of my faves are uni-vibe, the 
led zep ones and the sitar one-  man that is a cool patch-  even has 
the low end drone and the high end tinkle-

ive used it for one of my tunes already-  but synthesized it through 
my novation a-station by chopping it up and adding a filtered 
envelope-

i love that patch!!- look forward to trying out the rest but cos 
there is so many is there any application you use to sort the patches 
out-

i was going through the process of loading them all individually- but 
found after three patches that loads had appeared on the vf-1, so 
some must be whole banks- but which ones?

anyway nice job, does anybody use it for stuff other than guitar?-  a 
guy i know used it to process the whole of his mixes and loves it!!

Hi Greg and All,

PLEASE HELP.

I am a newbie- New to sound engineering, but I am
trying to set-up a home recording studio. I actually
already have Boss VF-1 and a Mackie 1402 mixer that I
connect to the PC. Two things go into the mixer - 
vocal mic and keyboard.

Now, I have used VF-1 a couple of times for using 
patches like 'Karaoke' for Vocal effects. However,
this may sound dumb. Now, I found these patches in 
this group. But I am struggling with the following:

(1) How to move these patches to VF-1. Any set-up
instructions? I don't have a software midi sequencer.
My keyboard has a 16-track sequencer where I can load 
midi files or play them directly as SMFs from disk.

(2) In Greg's mail, I saw the word - Sitar. This gives
me a feeling that some of these patches can be used
to transform input sounds. Or are there pre-built
sound patches??? I am really interested to get 
Sitar and any other sounds. How do I get those.

Any help to this rookie will be greatly appreciated.
