i didn't mention it to anyone, because in my experience they would just
claim that it's an honest mistake. for my immediate needs (trading in my
synth, and going home with a different one), it was resolved when i
plugged in the cable.

i suspect that armon and the store both profit from this. he's crooked,
and they know about it, which makes them crooked.

the *ONLY* way to deal with it is to make it publicly known.

i just remembered another time i stopped by [rogue], asking about some
ROLAND parts.... i just needed some knobs to replace the old, beat up
knobs on a piece i just got (i think it was a TR-606). i figured they
might keep inventory on a common part like that, and save myself some time
in shipping from CA to NJ. i was told that they can't sell just the parts,
but feel free to bring in the unit and they'll fix it for me. i ordered
the parts from ROLAND and did the repair myself.
