This is definitely a sequencer that takes some fooling around with to get going. I dont have a manual either, though I dont know that it would be much help. I'll give you the basics of what I know... For Real Time sequencing, 1. Put unit in Sequence Mode 2. Press Real Time button WHILE pressing the selected track 3. Configure display with the cursor (increase polyphony here) 4. Press Record 5. Play away... 6. Press Stop 7. Press Reset 8. Press Play to listen to the track you just recorded For Step-Time Sequencing, 1. Put unit in Sequence Mode 2. Press Manual button WHILE pressing the selected track 3. Select patch with Programmer 4. Press Forward key on Sequencer to Step through sequence 5. Add Portamento/Glide if needed (then forward) 6. Choose Note (use #s 1-8 on sequencer) and press the key on the keyboard that you want played (this will appear on the display) 7. Continue entering notes and stepping through 8. Press Reset 9. Press Play I hope this helps to get things moving along... --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "keyboardnovice" <keyboardnovice@y...> wrote: > Hi, I've just bought a Casio CZ5000, problem is I can't work out how > to use the record function on the sequencer!
