The sequencer was the SZ-1 (the RZ was the innovative and often-overlooked sampling drum machine).

  The recorder has two record modes:  real and step-time.  It is fairly 
  intuitive from the buttons, except how to go into record mode.  I 
  seem to recall looking that up for someone previously.  I will check
