Re: M/T help thanks

I just got the multimeter out. The following numbering is looking
>>AT<< the 8 pin din plug [male] with the notch at top [V]. (Periods
are used for white space so. Pin 8 is actually between the 7-1 and 6-
2 rows.) This would correspond with counterclockwise numbering on
the 8 pin din recepticle [female] on the CZ-5000.

.....V.....
..7.....1..
6....8....2
..5.....3..
.....4.....

white remote switch sleeve - 1
white remote switch tip - 7
[submini]

black playback sleeve - 4
black playback tip - 3
[mini]

red record sleeve - 4
red record tip - 5
[mini]

Note the symmetry:

pin 3 = play signal
pin 4 = play/record common
pin 5 = record signal

pins 1 & 7 = remote switch

I suppose if you accidentally wire it as a mirror image, just switch
the play and record plugs rather than take apart and rewire the whole
thing (assuming the remote switch is a simple open/close switch with
no polarity).

Hope this makes sense; hope this helps.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find my cz data tapes. I did find a KORG
EX-800 tape, tough.
