Hi Ivan,

would be nice if you're able to provide us with an example of that specific 
sound. Typical rock type sounds are mostly quite simple detuned saw or square 
leads and the keyboarder is playing around with the weels. The right way to play 
those sounds really makes them. 
Anyway the DX7 is probably used for more bell type timbres...
