If the computer is an older PC and has a parallel printer port or an older Mac with a serial port and you want a midi interface, you might check out e-bay. Several months ago, MOTU Midi Express XTs [PC parallel/Mac serial port version NOT the newer usb port version] were going for between $50 and $65 (plus shipping). It is an 8 in 8 out midi interface. Drivers for Mac and Windows are availabe at the motu website. Of course, there are usually other interfaces there, too. If you have a PC with a Sound Blaster Pro compatible sound card with a joystick port and some midi cables, I have some new midi [female]/joystick cables I picked up at Guitar Center I was planning to sell on e-bay. Since they have female midi connectors on them, you would need regular midi cables to connect to your midi gear. Contact me privately if interested, or if there is a Guitar Center near you, see if they have a blow out sale cables. (The males were more expensive, but worth it if you don't already have midi cables.) Hope this helps. --Steve PS: I just hooked one of the new cables up to my CZ-5000. They work! --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "Summa" <flotorian@f...> wrote: > Usualy a simple joysick port to MIDI cable for about $20 or a simple USB/MIDI > Interface for $40 will do.
