i recently had a non-functional dw8000 given to me and with the help of people from discussion lists like this, was able to get it working. right away, i started modifying the patches. i learned to program on a poly 800, so it was very familiar territory. even if you've never programmed a synth before, you'll find it's not a difficult task. waaayyy easier than the cz101. for me anyway. the digital delay is great. really minimizes the need for outboard fx. and i absolutley love the arpeggiator. in assignable mode it's almost like a sequencer. it follows the notes in the order you play them. this thing has tranformed some of the grooves i work with. i'm finding it a little hard to arpeggiate the same thing twice, but that's also part of the attraction. i have a manual pdf i could send you but it's also on one of the yahoo groups, DW8000 or korgdw8000, can't remember which. you may as well join them both. some very good samaritans there. they saw me in the ditch passed out under the dead weight of my dead synth and said brother, you need capacitors and voltage regulators. here, drink and eat, and plug in that soldering iron... shayne -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
