(1) I assume you mean the FZ-1.  The VZ-1 is not a sampler.

(2) CZ programming is somewhat intuitive.  
Basic Plan:

DCW-->DCF-->DCA
Digitally Controlled Waveform is your wave.
Digitally Controlled Filter is your filter.
Digitally Controlled Amp is your amplified.

Envelopes have 8-stages.  You have rate and level for each step. you 
can set your own sustain point and end points.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
