(1) I assume you mean the FZ-1. The VZ-1 is not a sampler. (2) CZ programming is somewhat intuitive. Basic Plan: DCW-->DCF-->DCA Digitally Controlled Waveform is your wave. Digitally Controlled Filter is your filter. Digitally Controlled Amp is your amplified. Envelopes have 8-stages. You have rate and level for each step. you can set your own sustain point and end points.
