Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hey Gang,
Just wanted to let you all know that I've uploaded a handfull of samples of a friend's 
VZ-1. The programs are built for the EXS-24, but they can be translated or the 
samples can be easily imported into another sampler. Every C and F# is sampled from 
C1 to C7.

On another note, I recently picked up a CZ101 and want to know if there are any 
tutorials for editing.

(1) I assume you mean the FZ-1.  The VZ-1 is not a sampler.

(2) CZ programming is somewhat intuitive.  
Basic Plan:

DCW-->DCF-->DCA
Digitally Controlled Waveform is your wave.
Digitally Controlled Filter is your filter.
Digitally Controlled Amp is your amplified.

Envelopes have 8-stages.  You have rate and level for each step. you 
can set your own sustain point and end points.

No, I mean I sampled the VZ-1. The samples are in .aif format and the programs are 
for Logic's EXS-24.

Editing the CZ-1 is intuitive, but I was hoping that there were some pointers on 
achieving certain results (types of sounds) and unleashing the hidden potential of the 
synth.

Hi,

the hidden CZ feature is using ringmod, other than on other synth where the 
Ringmod is simply multiplying the output of two oscillators, on the CZ the 
"Oscillators" will be manipulated by the DCW settings before the fed into the 
ringmod. 
So try using typical Detune settings like -5, 7, 12, 19, 24 ... and experiment 
with DCW amounts/movements. Expect to get for instance nice FM alike plucked 
string and Voice Sounds..
