Howdy, Tes, What you are dealing with here is classic subtractive synthesis. The difference is you have digitally generated waveforms. the osc. envelopes are just like the ones on a sequential multitrack for example. You can perform a patch where the osc. is not locked to the key you play, but will start there and react to the envelope you apply to it. Many single osc. synths use this to make up for the lack of extra oscillators. your basic programming chops are going to be similar to any 2 osc. synth, just different terminology and digital simulation of analog control. If only one could figure out a way to twist knobs to change parameters in real time instead of the clunky,"select prameter then push up/down a bunch of times to alter.
