Hi Patrick, My CZ5000 was doing the same thing when I first got it. In the center of the keyboard there is a brace that supports the top. There is a little rubber pad on this brace that keeps the boards in the top of the synth from shorting out on the brace or the keybed assembly. On my synth this pad was laying in the bottom of the synth because the adhesive had gotten old. Remove the top then use a couple of Ty- Wraps to hold this pad to the top of the brace also make sure the brace isn't bent down because something heavy was set on it. Bend it up if it is. Voila, now the synth doesn't reset back to A1 and restart every time a button is pressed (or randomly). Let me know if you need more help with this... You can e-mail me offlist if you wish. I have the Service Manual too. I'm not sure about Marcin's midi problem. It almost sounds like a midi feedback issue...
