Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hi CZ heads,

  I just finished with the huge CZ1 library I've been working on. I 
took over 2,000 "CZx000" patches from all the groups and web patches 
I could find. About 450 of these were of decent quality and were loud 
enough to use. Then I added the velocity settings for the DCO, DCW, 
and DCA sections to get a more expressive sound from each patch. I 
had to post them in the CZ-VZ-Files group as there's no room here.  

  I tried not to use any commercial sounds so if I had a few slip 
through please let me know. I don't want to offend anyone. I know Kid 
Nepro's CZ patches weren't used. Also if you had a favorite patch and 
I changed the name to make it fit the display I'm sorry. I did this 
because there aren't very many patches out there exclusively for the 
CZ1. It's nice to hear all the hundreds of "non-velo" sounds in the 
CZ1 but it's much better to hear this great synth the way it was 
designed to sound. I didn't explore all the FX possibilities with the 
pitch control covering several octaves from the same key, etc. 

  Many of the sounds morph as the velocity changes. The DCW filter is 
very expressive. I even found the need for adjustable velocity 
scaling in the CZ1. Maybe a midi controller could be even more 
exressive. I haven't tried using my QS6 as a scalable controller 
yet....

  Well at the risk of rambling on forever, enjoy these patches! Do 
what you will with them. Just give me feedback. This is a little 
payback for all the help I've gotten from everyone. Thanks!!!
