You may be able to find a compatible part- a 64x96 (or whatever) LCD matrix
probably wouldn't be that difficult to find (or scavenge from something, it
might even fit..)- BUT you need something that is compatible with the VZ-1
display driver (the service manual is available- you could find the part
number of the display driver if it's not some custom chip), and you need a
way to connect it (typically the LCD connectors aren't something that can be
attached by hand).
It should be completely possible to replace your display, but you will
likely find that it's entirely too much trouble. I don't know how easy it
would be to control the VZ from software without a display, but that would
certainly be a simpler solution.Message
