I also think it's a great idea to save patches in an excel doc. Like you, I've picked up a CZ synth thinking it would be easy to program it. Most the time I've found this to be wrong. Granted it's easy to "mess around" with it until you find a sound you like, it's no easy thing to program it. I always try to find a patch close to the sound I need and then change it to fit my needs. I've been trying to program these things since I got a CZ-101 back in '85, and still can't get it right. Is there a software program out there that works for the CZ family of keyboard equimpment? Something VISUAL? Amazing it is that there's no Cubase for the CZ-1 or CZ-5000 yet. Whatever happened to that old Commodore Amiga program a long time ago? Someone could probably make a fair amount of money if they wrote the software to do this. --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "Austin Cliffe" <austin_cliffe@...> wrote: > > I think this is also a good idea to put good patches into an excel document, > although I'm certainly not the one to implement it... > > If anyone else is like me, we picked up these synths knowing that they were > capable of making a wide variety of sounds without necessarily knowing what > we were getting into as far as designing these sounds.
