I basically gave up trying to buy something that would let me link my CZ-5000 to my PC. I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on software that might not even work. I tried, a number of years ago, to do MIDI input/output via a little program I found and mapping it to win32API. ...sort of like GMT_MIDI. ...To hard ...too much work with the syntax. I didn't have much success. I'm not sure what ASIO is about. I've read it's more for sound engineers. It's a protocal for audio; and it lets you interface between your sound card and an application. You no longer have the limited access to sound control through your driver to your sound card. Something like that. I know it was created by Steinberg who gave us Cubase. (I wonder how well it works in Windows Vista.) --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "narfman96" <narfman96@...> wrote: > > Rob, > > I've been sitting here with my Casio AZ-1 controller playing some > sort of NI B4 thing on my laptop (what's all this ASIO crap, anyway?) > I'm wondering what programs you've tried to drive the CZ from PC? > Midi-Ox can record everything I play on my CZ1 or the AZ-1 controller. > Then the script file can be replayed with all the CC and program > changes.
