1a. Re: Pitch bend producing silence and strange frequencies.

2008-02-10 by synergeezer

I hope nobody was too upset by my post. It has never been proven that
I'm crazy, and I don't smoke. I joined my first Yahoo groups about 2
months ago, and I've posted (seriously, not humorously) to at least 7
of them (including this one, several weeks ago) and had never received
a reply. Nobody said "Boo!" I wondered if anyone else could read my
posts! Some of them contained potentially useful information (like
this one - soon, I promise). I thought a little pun might get a rise,
and it did! ("Pitchblende" [not "pitch bend"] _is_ one of the most
common ores from which we get Uranium.)
Now, as promised - the useful information: One of the most useful
sources I know for information about CZs, VZs, and FZs is the
Casiologie site. The link under "Links" seems to have expired. The
current url is "http://www.jz-server.de/casiology/".
Hello! I have a CZ-101, CZ-5000, CZ-1, VZ-8M, and VZ-10M. I think
the CZs are the best deal around for those wanting to learn how to
program synthesizers. They're easy to learn to program, with very
rewarding sounds! I think the VZs, Yamaha FS1Rs, and Synergy DKIIs
(all of which I have), are the most powerful programmable digital
synths ever made (there may be some I'm unfamiliar with), but are not
for the faint of heart.

Thanks for your indulgence,
synergeezer
