My CZ-101 has a horribly low output (-40db) !! I have to run it through a pre-amp to get a level. Have you tried to listen on the headphones? Have you tried a reset? There's a small hole on the bottom (one of those pin-hole type reset switches with a 'p' to label it), try that as well. Also try to send a sysex bank and see if that helps. My CZ-101 has a dead battery, but if I keep it plugged I, it will retain the patches. If it sits for a few months unplugged, however, I have to sysex dump patches to 'bring it to life'. As for my low output, if anyone has info on the jack type used for the output, I'd appreciate that info. It looks like the owner prior to me has taken the 'Phono' output and used it to replace the 'line out' jack (As I don't have an actual jack in the phono port, but an open hole where the jack once was). I'm assuming there is a different impedance for the phono jack, which would explain the low output. Any input would be appreciated. Erik Erik E.
