I use both the VZ10M and the CZ101, as well as a motley crew of synthesis types, including some analog (Matrix6r) and analog modelling(MicroKorg) synths. I know the current craze is to go to software synths, but there's just something lacking there for me. Heck, I still have my Ensoniq Mirage rackmount I use on occasion. And as I regularly cruise Ebay, I see the Casio 80's synths are still being snapped up when offered and not for nickels and dimes, considering their 'vintage.' Regarding CZ VST patches/plug-ins, I would imagine a thorough Internet search would be in order. It seems vintage analog synths are king of the heap for a lot of those. ---Charles J --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, phil fuhrey <philfuhrey@...> wrote: > > There are groups that are linked to the Casio CZ, I dont know if this link will work http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/CZsynth/files/VZ%20-%20DOCs/ you may need membership (free) they are linked to the VZ and FZ groupsthere is another one but I cant find it at the moment they are probably very interested in the CZEdit and patches, I use the VZ 8m and this site is connected but I cant find the exact page http://www.sallyandsteve.dsl.pipex.com/casio/software.htm the CZ gets mentioned in the chat page, It is also mentioned in Vintage Synth site pages CZ is still a popular synth Phil > > > > > ________________________________ > From: Gary <gary_pr@...> > To: CZsynth@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Thursday, 7 May, 2009 7:18:38 > Subject: [CZsynth] Who Still Uses A CZ? > > > > > > The CZ101 was the first MIDI device I ever bought. I still have it but I haven't even turned it on for years. Anyone still actively using it? Are there any CZ VST plugins? If so, do they accept CZ101 patches? > > I wrote the DOS-based CZEdit back in 1988 as an excersize to learn Turbo Pascal. It's amusing to still be able to find a copies of czedit33.zip floating around on the internet.
