Hi, another CZ-er here just chiming in to be sociable.
I have a CZ-1 I bought a long time ago from Andrew Schlesinger, who
wrote "An Insider's Guide to CZ Synthesis". He kindly threw in a copy
of the book, too.
My studio's a collection of 90's hardware--I've never even gone near
a softsynth. I use old G3 Macs running Opcode programs along with a
composing app and various editors built in Max. Galaxy Plus has a
full CZ editor/librarian module. I also have SoundDiver, but it's a
pain and I don't use it much.
Old-school setups sure take up a lot of space, but they don't go
obsolete! Any more than they already are, I mean. I'm so glad I got
into synths before they went "virtual".
