Thanks, Robbie! I get kind remarks about my studio when I'm looking.
I get massacred for my gear collection when people think I'm not
looking. Gotta love the internet.
>Amanda, I'm assuming you're running OS9 on your G3.
>I'm doing a 9600 running 9 as well.
Nope, never assume! I run OS 8.6 on my serial port computers. I do
have 9.2.2 in one Pismo powerbook that has a faster processor. My
main studio G3 with Galaxy and networked Studio 4 interfaces actually
has System 8.5 with elements of 8.6 I've substututed in one at a time
to be sure everything keeps working.
The reason for this is that the fonts in Galaxy went weird in my
other computers after 8.5, even with the same font set installed in
all. The other Opcode stuff as you know works fine through 9. So I
have made sure not to update beyond the OS that the apps are all
comfortable with. In general I feel that people taking the OS beyond
what the hardware was designed for, is the main reason people have
trouble with their computers.
>Have you ever had issues installing Galaxy

I responded to your question on the Opcode list asking exactly what
your error message was and exactly when it occurs, but you didn't
answer.
I've never installed Galaxy above 8.6, so your OS version might be
your problem. My music machines have nearly all possible software
components stripped out that don't run the system or the music apps.
Folks, sorry for the off-topic interlude. Hopefully it's interesting
to see a different context in which people are using CZ synths.
