Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hi,

Does anyone have any know if there are any compatibility issues between the cz1 and cz1000. I realise that the extra features of the CZ1 won't be recognised by the CZ1000 so I assumed that they would just be ignored. I'm basically trying to dump sounds to a friends CZ1000 via Midiox sysex data originally saved from my CZ-1.

I understand that only 16 of the 64 memory locations will be accepted but none seem to be recognised. Do I have to change the sysex format eg. remove the extra data from the hex stream? OR, is there a different memory location sequence / format? OR, is there a special method of accessing sysex midi dumping via the front panel.

Memory protection is OFF
MIDI channels are set to CH1
Cables are correctly installed.
