Yes. You can have different patches playing on the sequencer tracks and yet another on the keyboard. The CZ-5000 has 8-note polyphony through the sequencer. Once you use up 8 notes at a time, you have none to play on the keyboard. But (for example) if you have a bass track using 2-note polyphony and another track of chords using 3-note polyphony, you can either have 3-note two-oscilator polyphony live from the keyboard, or 6-note one-oscilator polyphony live. You might even be able to use KeySplit or Tone Mix live (I forget if this is possible), but that will eat up polyphony--if it can be done.
