Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hi CZ-guys, especially CZ-5000 owners :)
 
 
Would You put me up to the CZ-5000's features: can play the synth its sequencer using one patch and to be played by its keyboard with one different patch at the same time?
 
Can its sequencer be syncronized with an external midi-clock signal?

Yes. You can have different patches playing on the sequencer tracks and yet another on the keyboard. The CZ-5000 has 8-note polyphony through the sequencer. Once you use up 8 notes at a time, you have none to play on the keyboard. But (for example) if you have a bass track using 2-note polyphony and another track of chords using 3-note polyphony, you can either have 3-note two-oscilator polyphony live from the keyboard, or 6-note one-oscilator polyphony live. 

You might even be able to use KeySplit or Tone Mix live (I forget if this is possible), but that will eat up polyphony--if it can be done.

But, yes, the CZ-5000 is a multi-timbral instrument.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe the sequencer can be driven by external midi-clock.
