these relays are also used in yamaha keyboards sy22 sy35 and other models there there for anti thud protection you can by pass them by just linking the audio outs across the relay

and just turn the fader down on the mixer when switching on its there so the thud does not damage your speakers as there is a large transient when switched on which the relay circuit kicks in after

the transient has finished

No, the CZ will not have an output without the relay. However, if you
really know what you are doing, you can bypass the relay circuit by
removing the relay and placing jumpers across the relay output contacts
on the board. It is very easy if you can solder. You will need a CZ
schematic to do this if you are unsure which contacts on the relay are
the outputs. If you do this, be sure to turn on your CZ before turning
up you mixer or amplifier volume to prevent power pops. Schematics are
available online and some are even available in the Yahoo group. Best
to replace the relay. 5vdc relay will work.
