The RA-3 shows up from time to time on Ebay - not sure if the batts backup the memory - my CZ230s/1000/101 all have no batteries and seem to hold the memory as long as there is power of some sort - the 1000 which I unplug loses the memory contents and has to be reset. So possibly the batteries help - I think they usually exploit "residual current" which can be from batteries or PSU.

Hi all, happy to be part of this discussion group.
I bought the CZ 3000 in 1986, played a couple of times, and kept it under the bed for over two decades! Came across some friends who rekindled my interest and so here i am!
Just wanted to check if it is still possible to buy the RA-3 ram cartridge?
Another silly question: there is a compartment for 3 AA batteries under the keyboard...is this to keep the memory sounds which will be erased when the batteries are removed?
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Mike
