Hmmm, I don't think RZ-1 would be the right thing for me, you know 
Jon. The group I'm in insist on "synthesis-only" and since RZ-1 uses 
samples (at least that's what I'm told), we couldn't use it. Even 
though they might not SOUND real, we'd know they're samples, and it 
just wouldn't be the same.

Yeah, tuned percussion is indeed the easiest thing. I programmed 
myself a nice ol' set of toms (I'll inform the group when the song we 
use them in is out), even a kick drum, but it's a bugger to programme 
a truly passable snare, or a clap for that matter.

In the meantime, do you have any drum patches to share? I'd love to 
hear/use them.
