The CZ-1000 uses six D-cell batteries which can power the unit in lieu of the 110v transformer, and iirc, also provides power for the internal memory. Meaning that if you pull the batteries (or they die) while the unit is not plugged in, you lose any user programmed patches. Haven't pulled mine out of the closet recently, but I'm fairly certain that there is no internal battery on the PCB. Though I'm always prepared to be wrong... ----- Original Message ----- From: "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@...> To: CZsynth@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2011 2:55:11 PM Subject: [CZsynth] Re: Battery terminal solder locations on the CZ-1000? You have my curiousity. I have never had a CZ-1000, but I am wondering if it is marked on the board. Also, I am wondering what kind of battery/ies it uses and if it has a battery compartment. If it has a battery compartment, I would hope that its location might be helpful in locating where the connections are or should be. (Too bad there isn't a service manual for the CZ-1000 with circuit board drawings.) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
