I can try to do this but like I mentioned, im no electical engineer. I cannot translate any electrical schematics, read out capasitor/resister orientations or anything of the sort. A picture is worth a thousand words, so if it is possible for the benefit of not just me but the entire group please upload one. --- On Fri, 5/20/11, Joe J <freshcupofjoe@...> wrote: From: Joe J <freshcupofjoe@...> Subject: [CZsynth] Re: Battery terminal solder locations on the CZ-1000? To: CZsynth@yahoogroups.com Date: Friday, May 20, 2011, 4:11 AM I would imagine you can still see the points that the battery terminals were ripped away from, so it's just an issue of finding the right polarity, correct? A minor amount of detective work by following some of the traces should give this away fairly easily. Just look at the orientation of any polarized capacitors connected to the traces that go to the battery leads. --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@...> wrote: > > After I posted the message, I found some jpgs on line of the service manual--schematics, but not board layouts. Meaning that if you pull the batteries (or they die) while the unit is not plugged in, you lose any user programmed patches. Haven't pulled mine out of the closet recently, but I'm fairly certain that there is no internal battery on the PCB. Though I'm always prepared to be wrong... > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > From: "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@> > > > To: CZsynth@yahoogroups.com > > > Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2011 2:55:11 PM > > > Subject: [CZsynth] Re: Battery terminal solder locations on the CZ-1000? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > You have my curiousity. I have never had a CZ-1000, but I am wondering if it is marked on the board. Also, I am wondering what kind of battery/ies it uses and if it has a battery compartment. If it has a battery compartment, I would hope that its location might be helpful in locating where the connections are or should be. (Too bad there isn't a service manual for the CZ-1000 with circuit board drawings.) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
