Hi all, I purchased an RA-3 RAM card last year primarily for use in my CZ101, mainly because like most 101's it won't keep its memory anymore unless batteries are kept in the keyboard. I wanted it also because the 101 has few internal memory locations compared with the bigger CZ's. Now, when I put the card into the 101 and switch it on the keyboard CPU appears to lock itself and emits a constant note. I've tried fiddling with all the buttons (including the write protect switch) but other than occasionally being able to edit the portamento I cannot get any of the other buttons to work. I've also tried it with a friend's CZ1000 and it does the same thing. I've also changed the card's lithium battery with the same results. Weirdly, the card works absolutely fine in my CZ 3000 and CZ-1. However, it's largely useless with these as you can only load the cartridge into the existing internal memory bank, it doesn't add any extra memory locations like it should in the 101. Additionally, both the 3000 and CZ1 have working battery backed memory so it's not really needed for them. Has anyone else had this same issue with the RA-3 when used in a 101/ 1000? And is there a way to sort it out so that it does work with the smaller CZ's? I'd like it working as my big CZ's are stored elsewhere in my house whereas the little 101's compact size allows it to be kept to hand in my small 'studio'. If I can get it working then I won't lose the patches every time the 101 is switched off! Many thanks for any help, Chas
