Re: Hello - Has anyone here dismantled a CZ-101 before?

Hi Peter, it looks really useful for my ex800.
maybe you should go over to the korgpolyex group and
tell them about it. Mike Hawkins has an extensive
Hawkmod for these synths, and this could be a really
good + cheap way of getting round the new params.
would also be good on a tx81z etc. although i'm thinking
of getting a novation controller and doing an automap
for that(...). good to know about this, anyway, and it
sounds like a reasonably easy install.

as for cards, i'd assumed there was some relationship
with pcmcia. but they are all different formats?
i already have the ra500, one will be enough for what i'll
use the VZ for( ;) ), and then i'll do sysex dumps. haha,
it was actually having the card still sitting around that
made me jump for a che-eeeap! unit i saw (unmissable deal).
other than that, big can't-be-arsed factor..
cheErz!
Dom

other things it would be good on: alesis quadraverb (and
sr16!)

In the casio Cz101 I added diodes so that I can use a simpler installation point in the circuit so that it doesn't need a complete deinstallation of the PCBs. These diodes are decoupling diodes as used in most keyboard matrixes.

Normally you only make this once after installation and the values are stored in an onbaord eeprom in the microcontroller and will be loaded after you power the synth on. It can be used for many gadgets where you want to add a nicer input method than those crazy plus/minus buttons...
