schemzzzzzz! there is certainly a way to add a lithium battery to protect memory...see circuitbenders notes about data protection for the boss dr550. it must be the same. personally, i never had this problem when i had a 101. maybe mine was just 'very good'. (daaaammmmmmnnnn....) flawless opperation of internal and cart memory. period. --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "the_wizard_o_cheese" <fmmusic@...> wrote: > > Ben, you've struck a nerve in the CZ community! I used to go broke buying D cells to preserve my memory, and curse a lot when it would fail. You have to be extremely careful when changing the 3v battery in the cartridge as to not strip the plastic housing where the screws go in. Use the correct size screw driver too, so you don't strip the high quality screws. To the person getting the drone sound with the cart, did you look in the door to inspect the pins? Perhaps one is bent, or broken off. It's a really good idea to use some software to store the sounds on your PC. Unless you love typing in all of those parameters over & over! >
