i use all three - tx, cz, and vz. they sound quite different. IMHO the vz
lies between vz and cz. it has neither the crunchy sounds the tx is apt to
produce nor the 'plastic' sounds characteristic for the cz.

aargh - none. cymbals are atrocious. woodblocks are reasonable, as was
mentioned before. the cz-1 has a quite nice simmons drum preset, but
that's it. the vz does no better.

yes, definitely, because the cz-1 has both velocity and channel aftertouch.
true, pitchbend and mod wheel are not affected by local off, but that is
a minor disadvantage.
BTW: i have no problem with the cz-1 keyboard, even with the higher
velocities. i like it.
