The foil solution also works for some time but the 3M self adhesive rubber pads that Bob Weigel sells are the best solution...
Not cheap but nice working. And between the prestamped pads there is lots of space so you can stamp about 3 times as much on your own with one of the sheets Bob sells.

Florian and all.  I am almost ready to deliver materials...I actually 
just got in the first production today!  I just have to  install the 
contacts in another polysix and give it a good test to make sure nothing 
funny happens with the new way they are punched out (ie. the adhesive 
not holding for some reason)  But this material is AWESOME!  You can 
reface old contacts with material I'm having manufactured that has been 
fairly rigorously tested now.  Excellent conduction characteristics just 
like the original contacts.  And extremely stable materials.  Very thin 
so that it can be faced between the .015" or so gap in most contacts 
with no problem.  I'm figuring something like 40.00$ per 61 key set. -Bob

That's very interesting - just a small note about those rubber/carbon contact strips - I have noted before that I have fixed them using tin foil stuck on with contact glue - an A4 hole cutter makes exactly the right size circles,but I guess paint is even better.

I took my CZ-1 apart and fixed the dead key. I adjusted VR1 and it did not change the velocity. I ranged it from 1.98 vdc to 2.56 vdc with no change in velocity performance. What did make a difference was the silver conductive paint I used to fix the dead key. Now this key responds to velocity  better than the other keys. The key contact boards in this synth are gold plated so there wasn't any problems with the boards. The key contact rubber membranes are the problem. The conductive carbon contacts get dirty or wear out. Replacing the conductive carbon coating with the silver repair coating made a difference in velocity response. This key now gets 77 (120) to 7F (128) with a lot less pounding. I guess now I need to do all of the key rubbers... More fun!
